"The handle is invalid", seen when printing or when connecting to a printer. Windows was holding a reference to the printer that is no longer valid, which happens when the print spooler has stopped or when the entry describing the printer has been damaged. Start with the service, because it accounts for most of these. Open services.msc, find Print Spooler, and restart it. Check its Startup Type is set to Automatic while you are there; a spooler set to Manual will be stopped again after the next restart and the error will return looking like a new fault. If restarting the service does not clear it, the printer entry itself is stale. Remove the printer from Settings, Bluetooth and devices, Printers and scanners, restart the computer, and add it again. Restarting between the two matters here: Windows holds parts of a removed printer until it does, and adding it straight back can restore the same broken entry. On a shared printer, this can also mean the computer sharing it has gone to sleep or changed address since your machine last spoke to it. Check that machine is awake and reachable before rebuilding anything on yours. Where it keeps returning after all of that, the driver is usually taking the spooler down with it, and removing the driver package rather than the printer is the repair. The spooler has to be stopped before a driver package will delete.

It is worth attention but not alarm. Switching the printer off, unplugging it for a minute and checking for anything physically in the way resolves a large share of cases before anything else is needed.
